The unique Porelle® dry microporous membrane is windproof and specifically hydrophobic to resist the passage of water, even under high pressure. While this membrane breathes, it allows sweat to pass through the microscopic pores in the form of water vapor molecules. This process is driven by the greater heat and higher density of water vapor molecules coming from the inside of the glove. The unique combination of microstructure and polyurethane chemistry ensures that Porelle® microporous membranes remain waterproof in use, even after repeated washes or steam sterilization.
